What a Wayfinder does

Eight hundred people walk into a field they have never seen before, in the dark, for seventeen and a half hours. Wayfinders are the reason none of them feel lost. You are the festival on the ground — the person who knows where the water is, which way the Sunrise Stage is, and what happens at midnight.

Fifty Wayfinders work the night in two shifts. Bring patience, a good sense of direction, and the willingness to answer the same question forty times without losing your warmth.

A certificate that countsEvery Wayfinder who completes a shift receives a certificate of service from Dhaka Music Festival — written for university applications.

Open to school students and recent graduatesStudents still in school and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants under 18 will be sent a parent or guardian permission form to return before their shift is confirmed.

Inside the whole nightTwo stages, nine art installations, and the Great Burn at midnight — you are in the room for all of it.

Briefing before gates, the arrival rush, sunset, and the first sets.
